Location: Abu Dhabi
For our Abu Dhabi (UAE) Branch, we are looking for an AFC Specialist who will be responsible for the administrative and financial management of the projects in progress and for the correct management of the construction site accounting records in support of the AFC Manager.
Specifically, he/she will be responsible for:
- Manage and coordinate the administrative, fiscal and financial aspects of the project.
- Ensure the construction site accounting records including, but not limited to: periodic assessments, warehouse stock, invoice registration, accruals and deferrals, fixed assets, etc.
- Ensure corporate obligations including: mandatory declarations to public bodies and periodic and annual VAT, tax return, preparation of the balance sheet and supplementary notes, other corporate obligations.
- Ensure correct management of the construction site cash, taking care of compiling the relevant reports.
- Support data collection and verification of production progress with the various construction site unit managers.
- Ensure the preparation of monthly management reports, estimates, economic-financial plans and periodic and extraordinary reports of the project;
- Management of insurance and contractual guarantees towards the customer and suppliers.
- Define procedures and tools suitable for the correct recording of accounting and management control data, ensure their dissemination and application.
- Ensure construction site logistics and general services.
- Ensure the correct administrative management of subcontracts and their regularity.
- Ensure the correct sizing of the project information systems and ensure their implementation, management and maintenance, according to the specific needs of the project functions.
Requirements:
- Degree and/or diploma in Economics/Accounting;
- At least 3 years of experience in the role, ideally for construction companies specializing in civil engineering and complex infrastructures;
- Good knowledge of English (at least level B2/C1);
- Experience in drafting and analyzing reports including financial ones;
- Good knowledge of the Office package, especially Excel;
- Knowledge of accounting principles (knowledge of IAS/IFRS is a plus);
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably the SAP application with particular reference to the FI, CO, MM modules.
