Location: Saint Julien Mont Denis
For one of our infrastructure projects located in France, in the area of Saint Julien Mont Denis, we are looking for an Environmental Manager.
This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the environmental requirements outlined in the contract and current regulations, as well as for the correct application of the operational procedures defined in the project’s Quality, Environment, and Safety Plan.
The Environmental Manager will also be in charge of preparing and reviewing the Environmental Protection Plan and verifying that all project departments correctly implement the procedures outlined in the Plan.
He/She will manage and verify data related to environmental monitoring activities as specified in the Special Tender Specifications and the Executive Project Design, both in the pre-construction phase, during construction, and post-construction.
Main responsibilities:
- Prepare and update the Environmental Protection Plan, in accordance with guidelines and current legislation.
- Ensure all personnel are aware of and comply with the Environmental Protection Plan.
- Identify and propose environmental awareness and training programs for workers.
- Verify the implementation of the preventive and protective measures outlined in the Environmental Protection Plan by all involved personnel, including contractors/subcontractors.
- Monitor the environment in relation to the most potentially impactful production activities, liaising with relevant authorities and ensuring proper reporting.
- Ensure correct implementation of regulations regarding waste management and protection of the various environmental components (e.g. soil, air, water treatment, noise and vibrations, etc.).
- Define, formalize, and verify the implementation of environmental emergency preparedness and response procedures.
- Organize and conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with environmental procedures and maintain appropriate records.
Requirements:
- Preferably a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as an Environmental Manager in the infrastructure sector.
- Good knowledge of French (B2/C1 level).
- Knowledge of environmental policies, regulations, and procedures.

- Emergency management skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
