Open position: Infrastructure/Construction Buyer

Location: Tortona

We are looking for a Buyer for our HQ in Tortona (AL). The resource will be placed within the Procurement Department to follow the planning and operational management of the procurement process for our construction sites, from the receipt of requests for needs to the stipulation of contracts/orders, to the management of logistical aspects and pursuing objectives of cost-effectiveness and availability of resources in compliance with company procedures.

Main responsibilities:

  • Carry out purchasing activities according to Company Procedures, the indications and guidelines of the Procurement Manager;
  • Evaluate offers and issue purchase orders for materials and services, actively coordinating with Itinera’s Technical Management for the technical specifications of the items;
  • Identify the best suppliers to buy from through sourcing, market research, and negotiation;
  • Economic and contractual negotiation, in order to pursue the objectives of cost-effectiveness, synergy, qualitative excellence and optimization of delivery time;
  • Support in the identification of suppliers and contractors to be involved in the market analyses necessary to define offer quotes;
  • Manage the issuance of purchase orders and subsequent changes using the company’s ERP;
  • Drafting of the terms and conditions relating to contracts/purchase orders, with the support of the Legal Department and the Contract Department, and in coordination with the representatives of the Operating Units.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma/Surveyor;
  • Previous experience in construction companies will be an advantage;
  • 1-3 years of procurement experience (preferred);
  • Knowledge of SAP management software will be an advantage;
  • Good ability to work in a team;
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
