Location: Tortona (AL)
The Plant Engineer will be placed within the Technical Management reporting to the Plant and Machinery Manager and will be responsible for the management of temporary plants and temporary site networks (crushing plants, concrete batching, packaging of bituminous materials, electricity generation, TBM, industrial water, dewatering, compressed air, etc.) as well as site workshops (mechanical, electrical, metal carpentry, repair and maintenance of vehicles, systems, etc.).
Main responsibilities:
- Monitor production equipment and, if necessary, repair or replacement.
- Ensure the optimal and efficient operation of construction site facilities.
- Give technical support for the purchase of equipment.
- Ensure the availability and efficiency of equipment, plants and machinery, periodically analysing consumption and maintenance interventions and periodically monitoring, with the support of Cost Control, the related operating costs.
- Management of equipment monitoring software.
- Define the maintenance program of machinery and plants and supervise the execution of ordinary and extraordinary interventions, keeping a record of them.
- During the start-up phase, execution and disposal of the order, technical assistance interventions at the construction site for the analysis and solution of any technical-operational problems.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a construction site Plant Engineer, for construction companies specializing in civil engineering and complex infrastructures.
- Degree in Mechanical/Management Engineering
- Knowledge of the machinery and systems used in the construction sector.
- Good knowledge of English (B2/C1).
- Willingness to travel for business trips in Italy and abroad.
- Excellent knowledge of the office package.
- Knowledge of SAP is considered a plus.
