Open position: Market Research and Supplier Selection Officer

Location: Tortona (AL)

For the Tortona (AL) office we are looking for a Market Research Officer. The resource will be placed within the Procurement Department and will be in close contact with the Offer Development team to follow the planning and operational management of the selection process and suppliers, and preparation of the summary tabulations of the final offers.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure the management and updating of the vendor list;
  • Analysis of deviations from qualification requirements
  • Identification, under the supervision of Proposal Managers, of suppliers and contractors to be involved in the market analyses necessary to define the quotation quotes.
  • Preparation and management of quotation requests relating to specific projects, in coordination with the Proposal Manager and the Analyst in charge of the tender, based on the product class of competence;
  • Analysis, comparison and evaluation of the offers received from suppliers, ensuring technical verification with the Technical Department, and preparation of summary tabulations of the final offers, archiving them according to the defined procedures.
  • Benchmarking: Compare company performance with that of key competitors and identify industry best practices.

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in construction companies will be preferential
  • 3-4 years of experience in the field of works accounting or cost analysis (preferred) and experience on site
  • Good written and spoken knowledge of the English language.
  • Ability to carry out market analysis and mastery of purchasing strategies;
  • Knowledge of the STR management software is an advantage.
  • Good ability to work in a team;
  •  Ability to interact with suppliers for the necessary negotiations;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
